Our rangers make contact with our guests on a regular basis. Their job is to ensure the customer's satisfaction of play is at optimum enjoyment. This is done through educating the guests in a non-confrontive manner on proper pace-of-play standards. Many times, our rangers assist players on finding lost balls, getting into contact with the beverage service, communicating play conditions, and other communication that ensures fair treatment of the course.

Our starters are stationed at the first tee of each nine during active player starting tee times. Here, they welcome our guests, ensuring that they are at the right course at the right time. The starter will ensure that each player has their own clubs, do not have unauthorized beverages or coolers, and have the appropriate receipt for play. The starter will communicate any special conditions on the course for the day. It is at this time that the starter will explain to the guest our pace of play policy and point out Bedford Hills special condition of having a set turn time on the back nine.

Our Team Leaders are individual Player Assistants who have chosen to be coordinators for their shift. They assign jobs and ensure all documentation is issued and turned back in to the golf shop. The team leaders help to train staff, and intercede in problems that may arise during their shift. Team leaders are looked to for leadership in maintaining a full staff that works seamlessly at keeping proper pace of play and turn time schedules. An important responsibility of the team leader is to ensure active and timely comunication between the golf shop counter and each player assistant.
